Hosting A TETRA COACH
- Host families are reimbursed $250 per week.
- Coaches are typically with the host family up to a week before the season starts and stay until approximately a week after the season ends.
- Coaches complete background checks through BYSA. In addition, they are screened and trained by TetraBrazil.
- Coaches do not need a lot of space. Simply a place to sleep with some privacy and the use of a bathroom/shower and laundry. The coaches typically do not have many possessions with them so they would not need large storage spaces or closets.
- Host families are expected to share food/meals with the coaches. We understand that schedules can be hectic during the soccer season so host families are not expected to rearrange their schedules for sit down meals etc.
- Host families are not expected to include coaches in all family activities but are welcome to do so. This can be a great time to learn more about the coaches and to let them learn more about American culture
- Coaches are typically very busy during the week. They often spend their days in coaches meetings, working out or other activities. Their weekday evenings are largely spent at the soccer complex.
- Host families are not expected to drive coaches around. Most transportation is provided for the coaches by BYSA. Transportation to and from games is sometimes the responsibility of the team, but not solely the host family.
