Athlete Code of Conduct

All Byron Futbol Club players are expected to uphold the values of sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork. By participating in our program, every player agrees to the following:

As an athlete, I will:
  • Encourage, support, and uplift my teammates.
  • Learn, understand, and follow the rules of the game.
  • Always give my best effort.
  • Listen to my coach and communicate my needs, questions, and goals respectfully.
  • Show respect to referees and accept their decisions, cooperating with any requests from game officials.
  • Remember that soccer is a game meant for learning and enjoyment—not a battle.
  • Have fun and take pride in my effort and improvement.
  • Show humility when we win and graciousness when we lose.
As an athlete, I will never:
  • Use foul language or inappropriate gestures at practices or games.
  • Make comments or gestures that show disagreement with a referee’s decision.
  • Engage in bullying, fighting, or unsafe behavior.
  • Use or bring alcohol or illegal substances to practices, games, or team events. I understand Byron Futbol Club does not permit or condone underage drinking.


Player Club Standards and Consequences


As a player, I understand and agree that:


Violations Affect the Team Environment

  • If I violate the club’s Code of Conduct, I may be required to leave the field area. Training or play may stop until the situation is resolved.
  • Coaches, managers, directors, and referees have the authority to remove a player from the field area when necessary to maintain a safe and respectful environment.


Serious Misconduct Has Consequences

  • Repeated or serious misconduct can lead to suspension or removal from participation in Byron Futbol Club.
  • Any decision to suspend a player will be reviewed and determined by the Board’s Executive Team.


Representing Byron Futbol Club

  • I understand that my conduct at practices, games, tournaments, and other club-related events reflects on my team and Byron Futbol Club.
  • I am responsible for conducting myself in a respectful, sportsmanlike manner during all club activities.


I Help Create a Positive Environment

  • I will support my teammates, communicate respectfully, listen to coaches, and contribute to a safe, positive experience for everyone involved.


Acknowledgment

Participation in Byron Futbol Club requires acknowledgment of this Code of Conduct.

  • Players and parents will acknowledge this Code of Conduct during the annual registration process.
  • Compliance will be tracked through the club’s registration system.
