Fall 2026 Age Group Changes

For the past several years, US Youth Soccer guidelines have directed that teams are formed based on Jan-Dec birthyear. For example, for Spring 2026 U19 players are born in 2007, U18 players are born in 2008, and so on.

Beginning in Fall 2026, these guidelines are changing from Jan-Dec to Aug-July. These guideline dates, shown in the chart, will serve as our new starting point for team formation.

Although these new guidelines will align players more closely with their grade-level peers, school grade is not the primary criteria for team formation.
