Welcome to the Coaches Corner!

Thank you for volunteering to coach with Byron Futbol Club. BFC provides support and mentoring for coaches of all skill and experience levels. This includes help with player and team development and assistance with practice session planning. We offer coaching clinics at the start of the spring season and will communicate the date, time, and location via email.

Coaching Education Reimbursement

Byron Futbol Club (BFC) will reimburse coaches and directors who wish to take a coaching course or continuing education course/session.

The following protocol must be followed when requesting reimbursement:

  • Reimbursement will only occur for USSF and NSCAA courses.
  • Any BFC coach or director seeking reimbursement for a coaching course must send an email at least seven days in advance of course to the BFC President requesting reimbursement. The email must include course level, date of course, location, and cost of course.
  • Coach or director will sign up and pay for the course.
  • Individual will attend the course.
  • Upon successful completion and verification of passing the course, the individual will submit a receipt and copy of the certificate indicating successful completion of the course to the BFC President.
  • Once this paperwork has been submitted, BFC will issue reimbursement.
  • The reimbursement is only for the course. For A and B licenses (USSF) and advanced diplomas (NSCAA) or higher, the application fee, mileage, food, travel, lodging costs would need approval from the BFC Board of Directors.
  • Course reimbursement MUST be requested during the same calendar year in which the course was taken.


BFC will reimburse up to one license per calendar year for coaches and directors wishing to upgrade their license if it meets the criteria established above. Any additional licenses an individual wishes to take during the calendar year will be the financial responsibility of that individual. This is to ensure that the club meets budget guidelines during the specified year for education of all directors and staff.
