Parent Code of Conduct

As a parent or guardian, you play an important role in creating a positive and enjoyable experience for every player on the field. Your encouragement and support help shape the culture of our club. We ask that you follow the guidelines below so all players can grow, learn, and love the game.

As a parent or guardian, you are encouraged to:
  • Cheer for effort, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
  • Applaud strong play from both teams.
  • Support your player’s coaches and team managers, recognizing the time and care they dedicate to the team.
  • Share concerns respectfully and at an appropriate time—after a recommended 24-hour cool-off period and away from the field and players.
  • Stay at least two yards back from the sideline to allow players and referees space to move and enjoy the game.
  • Contribute to a positive environment before, during, and after every practice and game.

As a parent or guardian you must:
  • Avoid coaching or directing players from the sideline.
  • Never use foul language, offensive gestures, or disrespectful behavior at practices or games.
  • Refrain from comments or actions that show disagreement with referee decisions.
  • Follow all instructions from referees and club officials.
  • Never consume alcohol at practices, games, or near field locations.
Spectators and guest conduct
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for the behavior of any guests they bring to practices, games, tournaments, or other club events.
  • Guests are expected to follow this Code of Conduct.
  • Coaches, managers, directors, and referees have the authority to ask any spectator, including guests, to leave the field area if behavior violates this Code of Conduct or disrupts the environment.

Club Standards and Consequences

As a parent or guardian, I understand that:

  • Anyone who violates this Code of Conduct may be asked to leave the field area. Play may stop until the situation is resolved.
  • Failure to comply with a request to leave may result in further action by the club.
  • Ongoing or serious misconduct may result in additional consequences determined by club leadership through the club’s grievance or appeal process.
  • Concerns should generally be raised through the team manager when appropriate, and managers and/or coaches may escalate issues to the appropriate Director.
  • Directors may determine whether further review by club leadership is necessary.
